Kantral sur Pendram
Warrior Queen of the Kipek
Kantral sur Pendram is a mythical figure in the Kipekan tribal history. She was a warrior of the Pendraman tribe of Kipeks that was wrongly accused of killing a Telna of a rival tribe. As punishment, Kantral was sent to exile on the brutal island of Ard'ammat. No Kipekan exile had ever survived longer than a few months on the island due to the overwhelmingly harsh conditions, but Kantral was more resilient than any before her. It is said that after one year on the island, great arches appeared before Kantral, and she passed through them to receive a blessing of Ysmid. Strengthened by the blessings of the Arches of Kantral, she returned more powerful than when she left and told her people of the tale. The Pendraman tribe rallied around her story and encouraged her to teach their warriors the skills she used to survive the trial. These students were put under the stress of the trials as a rite, and became known as Kantar. During her lifetime, Kantral sur Pendram is one of the only figures in Kipekan history to unite the tribes since Great Kip. The tribes fractured once more after her death, but the legacy of the Kantar continues on.
