Revolution

A revolution where the Dwarves overthrew their King, King Lassryl and established a council to keep the next monarchs in check.

After a series of selfish acts passed to expand territory at the great risk of diplomatic incident, a stockpiling of food in preparation for 'a disaster' that they were pretty certain would be a war and a general attitude of dispassion to ruling the dwarvish people decided to depose the King. This was rather bloodless because almost everyone was sick of her, but the main problem was Dwarven stubbornness. They were at each other's throats in terms of a new system, a lot of them not wanting to change for anything, and that they'd get a better one next time. After a few casual murders they agreed on a compromise, keep the monarchy but establish a council that (on a unanimous vote) can overrule royal decree.
