Emperor Gabrius Kaerwolf
The current emperor of Cormyr. Highly charismatic, and a brilliant tactician. He has implemented reforms across Cormyr to bring about greater arcane power, and has established groups of Paladins (Oaths of the Crown) to act as his army.
Defamatory rumours in the Lords Alliance states that he made a pact with an archdevil. This is generally believed to be simple fearmongering, but it terrifies the average person
He rides under the symbol of a fearsome wolf, and this has led to some calling him "the young wolf of the east".
Born and raised in the (at the time) recently occupied dwarven city of Mithral Hall, under the sign of a full Solar Eclipse, the young wolf adopted many of the mannerisms of the North. It is said that many of his Jarls (the generals and advisors below him) joined him after he beat them in a duel.
Being born under an eclipse is significant, as the sun is a common symbol of the Lords Alliance, and especially Neverwinter (since they all value the light domain).
