At any moment the player may find themselves trapped in the night realm (must succeed a saving throw against a god tier modified forced astral projection spell) , no time passes in the original universe, once trapped within this realm the individual is bonded to a monster being and hunted in an area of the nightrealm, players can escape if they find a specific key, kill the monster hunting them (if thats is a possibility) , if unsuccessful the player will be absorbed by the environment and descend further into the nightrealm, if the player succeeds they will ascend further into the nightrealm (swallowed into the ground, ground into paste along the wall etc etc, engulfed in shadow or water, escaping through a hatch or cave entrance etc etc) , all of which is the work of a wretched djinn that has infiltrated the minds of calimshan.
