Lord Alexandar
Lord Alexandar was a man of great import who created a great legacy and a vast empire, the Empire of Alexandar. He grew up on Platoris before it became the industrial hub it is know for today. The island is plagued by earthquakes, due to the volcanic activity of "mount volcano boy". In his teenage years, he would spend most his time exploring the island, cataloguing creatures, plants and whatever else he would come across in his journal. He was a born adventurer, so as he reached early adulthood he set out on his own to create a map of the world. The first of its kind. As he explored around he found many islands, most of which was inhabited by someone or something. Whenever he came across locals, he would tell them of his mission, and due to his charismatic nature, he would slowly gain a following of fellow adventurers. Alexandar was a religious man, and would thank the celestials whenever he made it unharmed through risky situations. Leading his followers, many who had never heard of the celestials, to see Alexandar as a bridge between them and the divine. As Alexandar continued to explore the planet, he became more and more sceptic about the celestials plans. Why would they leave humans on a planet where every island he came across was subjected to natural disasters, like earthquakes, tidal waves and volcanoes. He saw it as his mission to find a utopia free of these diasters, and if the celestials wouldn't guide him, he would have to it himself. Alexandar and his nearest allies found the South Pole , when Alexandar was 54 years of age. This floating ice mass seemed to be the only place safe from earthquakes and volcanoes, yet tidal waves couldn't be ruled out. To ensure their safe return, most of his followers stayed on their boats, and sailed back to Platoris, while Alexandar and a small group of his most devoted followers stayed. To ensure this was truly the utopia Alexandar was looking for he mounted an expedition towards the center of the pole. There they founded a small base of operations and set up a portal back to Platoris. Seeing that the only hazard on the South Pole was the cold weather, Alexandar sought out users of fire magic to help build the utopia he had dreamed of.
As Alexandar could feel his life nearing it's end, he set out for one last expedition, this time going the opposite way, sailing along multiple islands till him and his crew encountered the North Pole. His followers back on Platoris where all eagerly waiting for him to open another portal, to the tip of yet another pole. As the portal opened and the followers stepped through to celebrate Alexandars accomplishments, they where greeted by nothing but silence. The crew was nowhere to be found, seemingly lost or died during their travels. Near the portal they found the corpse of Alexandar sitting as if meditating. He was oddly warm, to cold to be alive, but to warm to have frozen to death. His body was brought to his home on the South Pole where it was cremated with fire magic, and spread to the winds. Due to the odd circumstances of his death, some of his more devoted followers insisted, that he had become Divinely enlighted. His spirit having become a celestial being, crowning him the first Dilighted. This was the beginning of the Empire of Alexandar and the religion surrounding him.
The age of Alexandars life was named Exploration of the world to honour his great achievements.
