A world of islands with no major landmasses. the south and north pole are the largest islands, made entirely of floating ice sheets. Different smaller islands stretch out from the poles towards the equator, where a large volcano island is located. The world is plagued by earthquakes and volcanoes. on the backside of the planet is a huge ocean, with a deep rift in the sea floor. The rich nobility have therefore moved to the safer north/south poles, where they heat and protect their houses with magic. this has made the poles hubs for storage and trading as well. the Living standard drops the closer you get to the equator, with the equatorial island Platoris being a deforested ghetto.
