Fremont Metroplex

A dazzling mutli-storied conglomeration of casinos, shopping centres, hotels and entertainment centres, the Fremont Metroplex is a dizzying assault on the senses from the moment you step inside. Body-modded hustlers pose as superheroes and celebrities, ready for unwary tourists to pose with them for an unwittingly expensive photo op. Gamblers who can't or won't partake in the gilded pleasures of The Strip often find themselves here instead, spinning away their credits at the Golden Nugget or the El Cortez. Low-tier corpers often make stops here on their evenings and weekends, mixing and mingling with unaffiliated tourists and citizens.    Some highlights of the Fremont Metroplex include:
  • The Golden Nugget - The premier casino of Fremont to survive the district's grand overhaul, the Golden Nugget still has its classic swimming pool, though the sharks within it have long been replaced with genengineered hammerheads and Great Whites that have been subjected to extensive behavioural retraining to ensure no one gets bitten while they swim alongside them.
  • The El Cortez - This is where you go if you're looking for something seedier in the Multiplex. The El Cortez is shockingly busy most nights, and caters to clientele seeking all kinds of thrills beyond table games. Pit fighting is common, and the sub-basement contains a steel octagon where Chimera Internationale sponsors regular biomodded brawls.
  • Olympia Designtech - An upper-end bodymod clinic, Olympia specializes in muscle augmentation, cosmetic adjustments and boutique pheromone packages.
  • Good Boys - Genengineered canine companions are becoming more common on the marketplace, and Good Boys is ready to sell you your next best friend. Each and every one of their dogs have gone through extensive gene conditioning for long lifespans and aggression removal, though additional packages can be added on if you want your faithful companion to have some bite to match their bark.
  • Neonopolis - A three-story shopping mall, Neonopolis is bursting with corporate outlets along the top two levels. The bottom level, also referred to as The Bin, is a scrum of independent hawkers jockeying for booth space in a free-for-all market. Traders who can secure space for themselves here guard their spaces zealously. While the corp outlets feature high-end branded merchandise, you can find just about anything in The Bin, from cheap electronics to used body armour, off-brand pharma to rare comic books.
  • Chimera Internationale Outlet - For the finests in cybernetic augmentations, many upper-class Neo Vegas residents make their way to the Outlet. A small army of cyberdocs stand ready to install the very latest in cutting-edge augmentations, and you can relax in comfort in the secure spa and wellness center while you recover from your procedure, attended by a host of waitstaff.
  • Heart Attack Grill - A restaurant made for masochists, the Heart Attack Grill serves some of the fattiest, heaviest synth-burgers. Even the best biofiltration systems struggle to keep the pace with the sheer amount of ingestible grease present in a single meal here. If you manage to survive eating the Quadruple Bypass Burger in a single sitting, your photo gets added to a trophy wall.
  • Diovelo's - An upscale Italian restaurant, corporate affiliation is required to get a table. Multiple megacorps use Diovelo's for their regular meetings and client lunches, and great care is taken to ensure rival corps are not seated near each other when they're feuding. Security here is tight, but some targetted hits have been known to happen here.
