The Veldt of Alharyn

The Veldt of Alharyn is a wide, sun-drenched expanse of high prairie, gently rolling hills, and open sky. Windswept and golden, the veldt stretches across a transitional landscape where the lowland marshes of the west gradually give way to the dryer grasslands that run parallel to the eastern trade roads. It is a place of haunting beauty and subtle danger, where herds of antelope roam freely and the cries of distant carrion birds echo under a sky as vast as the gods themselves.   Although it is largely uninhabited by city-dwelling peoples, the veldt is far from empty. It is the sacred range of the Sunridge Goat and home to nomadic tribes such as the Tathrin, who have wandered these lands for generations. Ancient stones jut from the hills like forgotten teeth, remnants of a time before even Lankhmar's founding.
