Session 0029 : Regrouping
General Summary
- The Heretic, feeling lucky to have escaped with their lives, decide to take a reprieve in Lankhmar. The party convenes at Cathlynn's apartment in the Park District. Each of the characters decides to gather their findings from the The Portal, sorting what is to be sold and what is to be used and by whom.
- Dorian Greymantle seeks out and finds an artificer skilled enough to make items from some of the harvested parts he gathered from the creatures the party felled in The Portal. Items commissioned are as follows:
- Troll Heart Amulet
- Manticore Whip - estimated 4 weeks to complete
- Manticore Cloak x 2 - estimated 7 weeks to complete. It was agreed that Dorian Greymantle would receive one and Cathlynn would receive the other.
- Lilly Genrill seeks and finds a warehouse space for rent in the River District so that she can cultivate the mushroom spores she found at The Black Temple
- She spends some time at a local pub designed just for Halfling, Dwarf, and other small-statured peoples called "The Stout Hearth" found in the Mercantile District of Lankhmar. One night, Lilly hears a bright, rolling melody fill The Stout Hearth, accompanied by the laughter of dwarves and halflings tapping their feet to the beat. At the center of it all sits Sylma, standing on a barstool, flute in hand, weaving an intricate tune that seems almost otherworldly. When Lilly approaches, Sylma gives her a knowing smirk, twirling her flute between her fingers. “You’ve got the hands of a rogue but the ears of a musician. You want to learn, don’t you? I’ll teach you, but only if you promise me one thing—whatever song you play, play it with heart. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll find the tune that changes the world.” And so begins Lilly’s journey to master the flute under the guidance of a mischievous, brilliant bard.
- Lev spends some time communicating with Aura of the The Twilight Covenant, keeping these conversations secret from the other The Heretic. He also spends some time with the The Heretic teaching them The Silent Pact, a military communication style of quickly and silently communicating battle plans effectively. He spends some time exploring a bit of ritual magic, since he has many weeks on his hands. During his study, he flashes upon the insight that he should introduce Titania and Freyja to Lankhmar. While he isn't quite certain how to do this yet, he feels strongly about doing so.
