Bow of the Red Hunt
Requires Attunement. The bow grants attunement only after it tastes death—when its wielder fells a creature with a lethal shot.
Blood Memory: When you kill a creature with the bow, you may mark its species. You gain +1 to attack rolls against creatures of that type for the next 24 hours.
Hunter’s Vow (1/day): Before attacking, you may speak aloud the name of a foe you’ve previously injured with this bow. On a hit, the target must make a DC 13 Constitution save or take an additional 1d8 necrotic damage as the bow pulls strength from every past wound it has caused.
Crimson Thread: If attuned, once per long rest you may loose an arrow that leaves a visible red trail behind it, leading directly to your quarry—even through fog, brush, or magical darkness. Lasts 10 minutes or until the quarry is reached.
