Sirius (Seer-ee-us)
And to think that for all those years, I idolized you...
Sirius Svanhild Volsung
Lifting his silver sword into the sky, he smiles to his friends, showing off fangs. Periwinkle hair sways with the breeze as he lowers his arm, the sound of applause ringing out afterward. He turns to face Hymn, her crimson gaze locking with his ruby eyes. He attempts to stifle the anxiety bubbling in his chest, realizing the whimsy of today. With everyone focused on him, though Sirius knows they mean not to intimidate, it feels suffocating, but he continues to smile. With years building up to this point, he wishes that his mother could come to watch the ceremony.
Soon, Hymn's voice rises as if speaking to the whole of Riavelon. "On this day, we honor the graduation of Sirius Svanhild Volsung, child of the hero Sivrit Volsung, from Nitum University. May his talents protect us all."

Gender Identity
Sirius has never taken a particular interest to the concept of gender. They lean more to the "masculine" side, but all-in-all, they dress however they'd like, apply make-up however much they want, and act however they wish.
Sexuality
Viramoric
Education
He attended Nitum University to sharpen his combat capabilities. Prior to that, he attended a small institution called the Snowy Overlook Grammar Academy in which he spent many years perfecting his calligraphy and writing capabilities. Mathematics escaped his comprehension, and he feels glad that he does not need to use much of it out on the battlefield. For that reason, he pities archers.
Employment
Sirius never formally enrolled into the military as a recent graduate, but he serves as a soldier of the Riavelon League. Such sudden enrollment resulted from Serias and Koyo's assault on the mainland. He was drafted immediately upon his return from saving his and his friend's hostage parents and others, being put on a secret strike force called the Dusk Crusaders.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Sirius managed to save Nyx and Seris' lives from the likes of Brunhilt by bravely going against the Empress' orders and setting off on his will. Without his intervention, the forces Hymn would have sent would have arrived too late. He also managed to save other hostages in the situation, helping return them to their families.
He stood up against Hymn and managed to convince her, alongside the rest of his allies, that instead of being punished, they should be assigned to a strike team she was personally making. This was all secretly a ploy for him to travel the world in search for Providence, or the staff which he hopes will bring his mother back to life. All this willpower of theirs has helped shape them into a much more confident individual overall.
Failures & Embarrassments
Sirius was too late to save Canoodle, Smoothie's father, as he had already starved to death by the time they reached him. In an effort to save his mother, Sivrit, he faced off against General Brunhilt. However, with Sivrit already in her grasp, Brunhilt executed her on the spot and proceeded to leave Sirius on the brink of death in seconds. When they came to, they awoke to the horrible news, shutting in on himself and going through a sort of depression. However, they steeled themself quickly, realizing that to undo all this loss, he could search for Providence and bring those two back to life. However, it will cost them...
Mental Trauma
The death of their cennend at a young age led them to distancing themself from others for a short time. They clung onto their mother, begging her not to die anytime soon. Reassuring them, Sivrit holds the young Sirius tightly and pats them on the back. Experiencing the loss of family as a youth resulted in them becoming clingy, although such behavior faded as they overcame their cennend's passing. Other than that, they suffer from anxiety, unsure if they can honor their legacy.
They reacted differently to the death of their mother, going through a depression and shutting themself off from others. They cried more often during these weeks, and even if they cheered up at the words of encouragement from his friends, he quickly sank back into their sorrows. Their clingyness transferred from their parental figures to their friends, seemingly desperate to keep them in his life no matter what. If Sirius were to ever lose Philotes or Smoothie, for instance, then perhaps... they will conclude they will have been too soft.
Morality & Philosophy
Solving confrontations without taking lives is Sirius' paramount goal. Due to their monadistic beliefs, they believe each individual is capable of gnosis, and to rip it away from them prematurely frightens the young figurin. Therefore, if the person refuses to back down, they prioritize capturing them instead. After some time in their company, they proceed to release them and hope they learned from their imprisonment. Often, they show kindness to their enemy while they are trapped with Sirius's band, and though not always treated well in response, Sirius maintains their personal warmth.
To show kindness no matter what is a major part of Sirius' personality. However, as of late, this view of their has been challenged, and they have acted much more rudely when provoked. In most situations, Sirius tries to look to the bright side, but after the death of their mother alongside Smoothie's father, they have become more pessimistic. Despite them trying to show everyone kindness, the stress bearing at their heart has led to them acting out against others, such as lashing out at Eulogy for describing the problematic elements of the Monadism religion. When they go against their morals, Sirius feels a lot of guilt, loathing themself for days afterward. They do not cope well with it, deciding to avoid the problem rather than tackling it head-on. Although, if it happens to especially visceral, such as their mother's death, then they act in the opposite way.
Taboos
They hate killing, even though they learned how to fight. If possible, Sirius always attempts to spare or capture their opponents instead of ending their lives. This behavior originates not with their parents but with a close friend of theirs: Lorelei. A premature death also means no chance of gnosis, too, and they think everyone should get the chance to achieve it. The sooner the better is their mantra.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
They wish to protect the weak to the best of their abilities, something their mother always insisted on. To see others suffering reminds them of themself, especially after the events taking place later on. Therefore, Sirius yearns for pain like theirs to never burden anyone else; they want no one else to go through anything they've went through. When they fled the Lithi Islands after being pursued by Emani and her crew, they further supported the idea of protecting the weak. Disgust gripped their heart, watching a man eaten alive by a beast. They winced at the thought of the late quartermaster Ara successfully ripping Advike's life away from her, as he fought with no intent to leave anyone alive. Their experience here further solidified their beliefs, to summarize.
Sirius wants to work to make a world where violence is not necessary. They want everyone to put aside their differences and agree how cruel warring is to everyone else. Especially, they think that of the gods, wanting them to let mortals be independent of their influence. Stemming from the fact the Riavelon League came out of the toppling of a god, Sirius wants to ensure they can continue to live in such peace. The idea one day it all might be ripped away from him and all he cares for blows through his heart like a bullet. Fearing such pain, Sirius tries not to think about it, not wanting to think about the possibility of failure.
