Sector
A sector is a spool of aether, whose borders are made up massive expanses of Void. it is a bordered reality that can only be observed from an extreme distance and whose boundaries are notated by a shift in magical fields and the color of dust that composed the aetherial strands. An admixture of the fields of Shardshaping and Astronomy, sectors are cut out in large geometric grids in a projection of the night sky. Distances are determined between the grids largely by the magnitudes of astral material required to compensate for distance in the Concordance of Spheres. Distance is always growing and shrinking within and between sectors, as is the Nebula at large.
Naming Conventions
Sectors are named after the shapes the gas and aether make in the night sky, these formations stay relatively similar and can only be viewed from a enormous distance away. Sometimes they are named after historic empires who have made them their core worlds. At this scale, cartography is difficult as the shards are completely out scope, on many worlds sectors are often named placeholders due to the sheer distance away from them.
