The Iron Triumvirate
The Iron Triumvirate is the governing body that is rules over Gerlander. The leaders of the cities of Ironmark, Stonewall and Umbrite automatically assume their role in the Triumvirate. They are chosen between the assertion of Jarls, who head the Triumvirate. Typically, the noble houses of each city will push to be voted as the city's ruling Lord/Lady when it is their city's turn to assume the throne or of they seize an opportunity.
The rotation of leadership is as follows; Ironmark, to Umbrite, to Stonefell.
Structure
An equal power distribution between each city is key to maintain peace. Despite the Lord's and Lady's protests to the contrary.
Culture
The Triumvirate is made up of the top 1% of the people of Gerlander. They do not worry themselves with the smaller issues unless it makes them look good.
Public Agenda
The stated agenda is to give equal representation in government to each city. Meanwhile it is the continuation of the sucession crisis that has plagued Gerlander for nearly 600 years.
