A Golden Period

Era beginning/end

868 - 1002 SC

A long period of peace and prosperity for the settlement, as life becomes easier after the invention of the glimmer moss engines. Travel and trade improve, exploration of the area leads to new discoveries, and the faith of Gemogha of the Graced Feathers becomes more established.

Following the invention of the glimmer-moss engines, trade and diplomatic connections become significantly easier for the residents of Mumblemack. They set up regular trade with two other towns, exchanging eggs, fish, glimmer moss, and engine plans for basic goods like dried meat, and even some more luxury items like clothing in high quality wool, a little jewellery, and books. While education opportunities remain few, the council do arrange for the occasional teacher to visit from other settlements to give more of their citizens the chance to learn skills that could help Mumblemack in the future.
A large, beautifully painted hut is built, and some of the citizens, especially The Graced, begin to gather every morning to worship Gemogha of the Graced Feathers, and the faith gains more structure.   Further exploration takes place, and caves are discovered that go deep under the cliffs and the dormant volcano. While small, they're easy for the goblins to traverse, and they're excited to discover a number of rare magical creatures like flail snails down there, which cements the ideas of The Circle of the Jewelled Wing that they were led to this place to safeguard such creatures. Efforts to care for them begin.
