Communion of the Gentle Hand
The Church of Resounding Truth consists of several organizations all working towards upholding the tenets of the faith, with the Seeker fellowships being the most well known among the peoples of the six city-states.
However, there is an organization within the church that is almost equally well known and whose entire mission statement is to help the poor and the needy. This organization is the youth division of the church, the Communion of the Gentle Hand.
When an individual is taken into the communion, starting from age 7, they are considered a page and will be assigned duties around the place of worship closest to their residence.
In practice, this can include working in the chapel kitchen as aides for the kitchen staff, janitorial duties such as cleaning and maintaining the building under the tutelage of the janitorial staff or helping the orators prepare for their shifts and to ward off potential disruption to said shift, such as nosy visitors.
These members are the ones who do the work the communion exists for, which is charity in the name of the Resounding Truth. This can be anything from handing out food and drink in impoverished neighborhoods of the city-states, to volunteering to take care of the sick in solidarity with the woefully understaffed medical facilities of, for example, the Druvenian Purification Guild.
Due to their noble mission and youth, most folks tend to respect and feel protective towards these Consolants. Even the more unsavory elements of society acknowledge that these are children trying to do the best they can, and therefore they have been declared off-limits for muggings, robberies and virtually any other wrongdoing by those in power in the criminal underworlds of the city-states.
In fact, it is not uncommon for thugs to pay the ultimate price, often delivered by his or her peers, for laying a finger on a Consolant.
This practice has been criticized harshly by many making the reasonable claim that it is not right to send teenagers or even pre-teens into the Black Forest and demands have been made that the fellowships should only be allowed to recruit members from those aged 20 or above.
The church has replied to these criticisms by promising to look into the matter. So far this has been lip service.

Members & Organization
All parishioners begin their spiritual journey in the Gentle Hand so as to learn humility and empathy at an early age, and therefore be more receptive to further teachings of the Resounding Truth. When an individual is taken into the communion, starting from age 7, they are considered a page and will be assigned duties around the place of worship closest to their residence.

Consolants
When a page is considered to have demonstrated themselves to be an upstanding and humble individual, they will be formally inducted into the Gentle Hand as Consolants, which usually range from ages 10 to 17.These members are the ones who do the work the communion exists for, which is charity in the name of the Resounding Truth. Relation with the Seekers
The Gentle Hand serves as formidable recruitment stock for the Seeker fellowships, which will often allow pages to spend their initiation in their headquarters, maintaining gear and assisting the knights with their day-to-day as squires, which includes accompanying them into the Black Forest for routine patrols. This practice has been criticized harshly by many making the reasonable claim that it is not right to send teenagers or even pre-teens into the Black Forest and demands have been made that the fellowships should only be allowed to recruit members from those aged 20 or above.

Give unto all that which you give to one
The Consolants of the Gentle Hand are taught to alleviate suffering.
In doing so, they do their part in our divine mission.
