Trolls
A genus of creatures named, "Trolls." They populate the whole corners of the world of Namiend.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They are usually large beings, most of them having large noses and a slouched back. Hair and beards that flow down far to the ground. Most Trolls tend to live in or near mountains, however there are some Trolls that live in caves away from mountains. This has caused them to evolve a thick and rock-like skin.
Growth Rate & Stages
They live for a hundred years before they die, having reached maturity in life at around ten years of age, however, they can fend for themselves within a year.
Ecology and Habitats
Most trolls live in or around the mountains, however, some live in caves away from mountains. Some, but very few, species of trolls live in the forests away from most living things.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They have great hearing and smell, although not the greatest eyesight. Most trolls have the ability to smell something, and identify the scent of it, for miles.
All trolls have magical abilities, specifically the ability to shapeshift, usually into inanimate objects, like rocks, although they can become other things like deer or humans, raccoons or dwarves, although they would never look truly like those mentioned things, with many aspects of them being altered.
Many trolls have the ability to sense when danger is approaching so that they might avoid it. This power varies in trolls, but most of the time it is a mild sense, and not always perfect.
Finally, all trolls have the ability to regenerate to some extant, with most being capable of regenerating large chunks of skin after a mere hour. The most powerful trolls can regenerate whole limbs if given the time.
