The Grand Quay
Purpose / Function
The Grand Quay holds the great Ōkalían navy, in the largest bay of Ōkalía, the Bay of Kō'ōdi'índae, they constructed a large quay to hold all of the ships of the navy, repair them, load them with cargo, passengers, soldiers, and as a placement for the many great piers of the bay.
Architecture
All around the Bay of Kō'ōdi'índae are hundreds of piers connected to a great quay surrounding the whole bay. And in the distance, right at the entrance to the Grand Quay is the Verferí, the Great Arch, and on the Great Arch is the largest portcullis in the world. A grand wall stretching from one side of the bay to the other, going over in three great arches, the centre arch being 50 kilometres wide! It takes thousands of people to lift the portcullis after being released (as why it's only been done once in its history). The great arch has a statue of two people either side acting as the the watchtowers atop the wall between the arches. They depict the great King Míreklmőt and Dda'aríss holding a sword and shield with the symbol of the old empire.
