Khan
Khan is considered one of the more arcane areas in Nakut'yun. Due to the concentration of magic there, it manifests itself as lightning storms. Most of the time the lightning stays in the atmosphere but in certain areas where the arcane energy is the densest, there is a possibility of lightning striking, this doesn't always happen to come from the sky down.
Geography
While Khan isnt as baren and dry as Ekar, the further away from the settlements on the south west of the continent the harsher the environment gets. Where the boarder of Khan meets Od there are extreme cliffs that were created by the Odis mountain range. The rest of Kahn is mainly sand dunes and rough terrain from where lightning has repeatedly struck.
Natural Resources
Khan offers a small variety of plants and vegetation that still grow there. They also offer camels, horses, mules, and other types of transportation.
Khan's main export is their textiles. Most people born in Khan have innate arcane abilities. People use this to create textiles woven with their magic giving them buffs, hexes, and anything else they come up with.
History
The people of Khan have been able to live in this area despite the hostile environment and the fiends that live in it due to the help of the Guardian Nagas. In the beginning, the people who chose to settle in Khan and the Nagas came to an agreement. This was that the Naga would protect the people from the fiends of the land as long as the people didn't hunt them down and took care of the Naga species. Post water loss the people keep up their end of the deal by providing them with any resources they can spare.
Khan was always a place where a high concentration of arcane magic was present. Because of this, the most gifted arcane users are born there, this doesn't mean that no other arcane users can be born elsewhere. When the water disappeared from the planet leaving the only access in the hands of Jorns people, it caused Khan to start dying. Due to the hostility of deep Vire and the cliffs of Od, the only way to obtain water was to travel around Vire through Ekar, Krak, and Zhaminox. Being that this trade route lasted many weeks many people were suffering. On top of this, Jorn only wanted valuable trade offers, which many Khan traders didn't have. When the masses found out that Zhaminox was planning a revolution they wanted to be a part of this to make water free to the masses. People who had the ability to fight left to Zhaminox. After the war and the Great Divide, the power that Khan had once held within their people had diminished greatly. Even with this Khan and the people who lived there still posed a threat to Jorn. They had the ability to wield magic with more ease than most other countries. Because of this Jorn decided to let that country die. They do this instead of invasion because of the Guardian Nagas that protect the land. They stopped trade with them and wouldn't allow their boats to go past Krak. Currently, Krak trades with Khan to help keep them alive.
Tourism
People who wish to learn the ways of controlling arcane magic travel there to learn. Being in Khan and the density of arcane magic available it heightens the arcane senses. People who possess the ability to control magic can more easily control it on Khan. Learning here allows people to figure out how to pull arcane energy from the atmosphere and are able to apply it outside of Khan.
