Jorn (J-orn)

Jorn is the Southern continent. On its northern border is Od. Post-war they have the most power. They control the water. With the control of the water, they have control of Vire, the planet's main resource. They trade resources and water for riches, labor, lives, anything that someone is offering, and benefits the people of Jorn in any way.

Even before the war, Jorn suffered from an overpopulation problem, it just so happens that most of the soldiers sent out during the war were the migrants that came there in hopes of a better life. After the war, this is still a population problem but it is getting "better". People can't immigrate there because of the rivers created from the great divide and many are dying off due to malnutrition and dehydration, as is the rest of the world.

Geography

Southern Jorn is cold due to the proximity of Sarr. Southern Jorn is similar to a wetland/swamp but instead of water, it is the liquid Sarr is created out of. Further up it turns into prairies and attempts of farmland. As Jorn gets closer to Od it gradually turns into the Odis mountains. The capital of Jorn is located on top of a natural well.

Natural Resources

The main resource offered is water, basic resources that they can get off of Vire (the supplies are dwindling), and produce.

History

The water elementals that now reside in Jorn, specifically Qasi, were the first sentient creatures on Nakut'yun. They were pushed out of their original home with Namu'Nii due to the Namu's fear of the colonizers. Through the help of the people in Zhaminox, they were able to build a structured society. When Lake Odis dried up they became the sole provider of water to the other countries.

Country Relations

Zhaminox

Being that Zhaminox is no more they do not feel threatened by them. Currently, they act as though Zhaminox ever existed.

Krak

Post-war Krak is the only country with "good relations". Jorn trades with Krak through their ports, most of the trade from Krak to Jorn is fuel created harnessed from the volcano. In certain situations, Krak offers indentured servitude.

Ekar

Being that Ekar had little to offer pre-war, they choose to have no relation and have no desire to travel that far.

Khan

Similar to Ekar, Jorn has no desire to travel that far to trade. Another reason why Jorn chooses to ignore Khan is due to the concentration of magic beings in that area, they fear that they, if anyone, would be the ones to start another war. Jorn's hopes are that with the lack of trade and opportunities that the people of Khan will die off.

Od

Since Od and Jorn still share a border they offer opportunities for trade. However, Od doesn't have too much to offer that Jorn will accept. Instead, they trade with assistance to travel to Odis crater. There have been cases where Jorn has sent beings that were traitors or went against their say to their death. Most of the time through the plummet into the crater

Vire

Jorn is currently the only country to have the best access to Vire. This is through the sheer number of beings they have working for them as well as the capacity to harvest many resources in one trip.

Sarr

Sarr is considered a dead zone, the only interaction that Jorn might have is to send people on intentional suicide missions. This is used for people who are thought to be traitors or defiers. So far the people that have been sent out there have never been seen again.
