Scael

Scael was the first High Cleric, and it was he who wrote the original Chromaticon. His origin is disputed, with some saying that he was fully mortal, others saying that he was a demigod, still others saying that he was fully divine. Whatever the case, he fought against the Daimons if the First War, although he was slain by Malavan, Daimon of Lust, at the battle of the Palevine River. He had three artifacts, all of which were lost around 5999 BA, when the Solar Empire burned and looted a major temple to the Faith of Scael. His bones, which have been recovered, are interred at Belbury Chapel. His Ethnicity is not known, due to the same reasons as his origin. No one knows what he looked like save for the gods, and they aren't saying.

The Artifacts of Scael

The Sword of Scael: This hallowed blade was said to have been able to banish most demons and devils with a single swing.

The Staff of Scael: His staff was said to be 5 feet in length, crafted out of myrrh wood, and inlaid with bands of brass, gold, silver, and platinum, with a massive emerald at the top. It supposedly had the ability to, via the oils which precipitated from the staff in hot weather, heal any aliment.

The Mace of Scael: Arguably the most famous weapon in Scaelridge, this instrument of war was said to have been made out of pure, tempered, Adamant, with 15 flanges, each one the symbol of a different god. It is said that whoever held this weapon would be unbeatable in combat, so long as they stayed faithful to the gods. Otherwise, the supernatural strength and speed would desert the wielder, and the wielder would die.
