Coral

This beautiful coral is in a tank and it is alive.  The tank is 3 feet long and 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall.  The glass of this tank glows dimly at times and at other times does not.  Clearly it is a magical tank.  It must also keep the water at the correct saltiness and feed the coral too.  It is a section of coral taken from a coral reef and it can communicate with that parent reef. It can also communicate with someone touching it, but its intellence is limited - more like thoughts come through, not words. If you touch it you would know if it was sleepy, hungry, scarred, etc, but not true communication.  However, when you touch it, you always get a feeling of longing to reunite with the master reef that it came from. You can see the beauty of that reef in your mind and the peace it would bring. You feel that it would try to lead you to that reef if it was able - maybe it is! It cannot live outside of water for more than a few hours. It might be able to live in fresh water for a few days, and with a large amount of luck, perhaps it could adapt to fresh water, but it is a salt walter coral reef.
