Phobos

God of Fear

Overview

Phobos is the God of Fear as perceived by the Ustarians. They believe that long ago his power was going to be used for evil and that he must be vanquished or banished to a realm where he could not influence the world of Mundus. After many years of preparation to seal him away, Phobos cursed the Ustarians out of spite for their wrongful atrocities on him.

Not much is known about how he began to have influence in the world of Mundus, thought it is commonly believed by his followers that he was once a normal man, granted the power of the abyss by Aldrich and yet ignored the abyssal presence of evil, instead using the destructive power for good, shaping mountains and changing the landscape to better the harvest of food, the raising of cattle, and improving the lives of his followers because of their devotion to him. His power was something that was forced onto him, though he used it to originally save the lives of the people that he knew from his native village, though that is just what the stories say.

Phobos was described to have wanted to live up to the presence of Xyanxanos due to his influence that he had on his people. Phobos admired how he treated his creations like they were his children, wishing to nature and care for them because of the beauty and their nature to live. It is also commonly believed that he felt the need to fill the shoes of a God in order to protect the people of Mundus from the attacks of evil Deities and Gods similar to what happened when Aldrich attacked. However, these are merely speculations from both his followers and archeologists.
