The Empires Of Morgana
Morgana is an ancient and lived in world, in it many people have come together in empires to better unify their peoples and to better reach their goals. The major empires and their people are
- Northern Dathia - the oldest country in Morgana, it is the cradle of humanity, the elvish, and orc, how ever the northern half is largely controlled by the elves following centuries of conflict and is the largest exporter of magic trinkets items and relics from the left over of the old Dathian Empire
- Southern Dathia - lies in the hand of the orcs, and the major goblinoids, goblin caravans march across the dusty wastes guarded by hob goblin mercenaries and orc businessman run lucrative gem stalls and banks from their port cities
- Grey Hold - A mostly barren land covered in frost most of the year and plagued by storms. The Dwarves, Goliaths, and Giants make their homes in its many stone spires. The Giants rule large city states in the far north built in volcanoes, mountain tops blanketed in snow and perpetual storms, their smiths are the finest and their architects the grandest. The Dwarves and Goliaths live in a shaky but long standing union more out of necessity than free will.
- Travia - A large human settlement their new home having driven out the goblonoids who used to call the land their homes, by far the newest empire and soon growing to one of the most powerful, their hunters search the world wide in lieu of monsters and their profitable parts, materials, and hordes. Besides the hunters it is known largely for its large production capability and its extensive trade lines.
- Scoyas - Often called the melting pot of the world many of the major groups of this nation are those less excepted in other settlements. Those of Mixed races who feel alienated in their homes, the shorter folk who look to farm its many temperate and pleasant plains and shores. Scoyas is a heavily forested and peaceful nation. Its population is heavily spread out and highly mixed and it is a connection and a highway for traders, nations, and wanderers. It has few natural resources besides lumber and stone which is the primary reason the largely peaceful nation has survived almost as long as the countries in Dathia, controlling the large nation and the lack of resources like metals or magic sources.
- Parnthia - Few nations recognize Parnthia as a country, due to its small size and identity as a reformed colony, and small population relegating it to at best a city state. Though largely left to their own and self governed it is still technically part of Dathia. It's freedom is granted largely because of a conflict in ownership between northern and southern Dathia. It is heavily isolationist but it's location as a stepping stone between the central countries and the lands to the far east. The people are heavily mixed between elvish, human, and orc settlers and their descendants, and the islands original inhabitants the reptilians of the far east, though lizard folk as much less common then the dragonborn clans
- Northern Karturago - A land heavily lived in by Dragonborn. Some scholars site it as the first continent to show sentient life but the theory is yet unproven. There are few ruins despite the length of time its been occupied due to the largely nomadic lifestyle of its people who choose tent and horseback to farm and home. The lizardfolk who live in the southern part of the nation are largely the ones who have settled into towns and cities where they hold rituals in the old Dragonborn shrines now long abandoned by the tribes shamans.
- Southern Karturago - The lizard folk of this land are highly superstitious and religious little is known of their history because they lack written word and their stories are told in a tongue too difficult to comprehend by races with differently designed minds. Those few scholars who have learned the language do not share the stories and stories of curses upon any who try to repeat it in any but the proper tongue or in writing run rampant.
