Frontier Session 23 Report

Session 23: 21-04-2025

The party grabs the remaining pilot and by using intimidation and truth serum they get him to disable the alarms and give them information about the zeppelin. Hiron uses his voice modulator to try and trick the forces down on the ground that the governor has been captured and they should surrender. However they see through his deception and switch to another channel.

On the internal speak system they hear a voice call out that the zeppelin is invaded and the fight is lost. It commands the vessel to be scuttled by overloading the boilers in the bowels of the ship. The party rushes to the boiler room leaving Glee to figure out the controls and guard the bridge.

They descend and charge into the boiler room encountering two engineers working on a console and two of the large Warsuits. Jock quickly knocks the engineers unconscious but gets kicked by one of the Warsuits. Holding its leg while screaming in rage he goes onto the attack until its cockpit is damaged enough by Suicu's lightning magic for him to crawl inside. Headbutting the pilot until he is knocked out.

The other Warsuit is taken out by cracking its outer armor and Hiron deftly injects the pilot with anesthesia putting him in a medical coma. Both of the Warsuits are damaged but still operable after they remove the pilots.

Going through the ship and taking out or getting the soldiers to surrender they come upon a chamber designated as the onboard temple. Jock gets into the vents and spies into the chamber seeing 3 armored figures. The door is barred but he rushes down and kicks the bar out of the way to let the others inside. The cleric releases a spell but gets blocked by Suicu and the two paladins engage Jock. They quickly get knocked unconscious and the cleric is killed.

All the Imperial forces on the ground and on the zeppelin surrender. The large Ornithopter is send to retrieve the heroes who go down to the town to meet with the leaders. Much of the town is burning or destroyed and the guard Captain Derek Halfheart was hung by the Empire before the town could be taken.

In the aftermath they see most of the Thri-Kreen except for the Mystics have been killed. The Orcs have taken minimal losses and the rebels lost half of their fighters assaulting the trenches. Much of the enemies equipment and the war machines have been destroyed.

They see the Elves, Scribe Seran Urathril and Knight Faraine Preskian, help with putting out the fires through magical means. Jock joins in by quickly hauling water while the others help as they can. Soon the fires are put out with just a few buildings remaining.

Lavender Fisher thanks the party and rewards them in gold and the deed to the New Halcyon Plantation that previously served as the rebel base with a promise to restore the buildings to working order.

All is quiet for the next two months construction is started on both the town and the parties new home. More Orcs arrive at their town Mishnakh and they quickly expand it.
