The prince refused his father's wishes,
Scorned, he gave the crown to another,
A mistake his father's successor was not allowed to make.
  Blinding stars fell upon the large kingdom,
Unnatural rain crushing all alike,
A crown heavy with a million lives.
 

The unifying center of power was destroyed, lords and regents fought over who would rule. Slowly the mercenary band Sunglades proved competent in battle. Their order was great in number and skilled in magic. Their group tore down castle after castle, eventually felling even their employer. Dhozoa, leader of the Sunglades, having bested all other powers on the isle, returned to his birthplace to be crowned the King of Moliano Mareno in old common meaning maelstrom seas.
  While his rule was short, only lasting a few years, his bloodline still holds the crown.
