May AND June recap
After a rather unproductive month of April, I started into May with more commitment. And also with gratitude towards Tillerz, as he was hosting the May-be Challenge, focusing on re-writing old articles. As I started to write in German in 2023, and I also came a long way in my ability to write proper articles, I had enough old articles to translate and rewrite for this challenge.
I started with one of my oldest articles, the one for Cahaya, goddess of hope, light and also revenge. This one was even still in German, so after translating it and bringing it up to the reworked status of Mirintha's pantheon, I included some more sections, so the whole structure of the article aligns with the newest articles for my deities. I'm happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to some feedback.
I continued straight away with the next god, Cahayas husband Pimedus. He is the total opposite of his wife, but as important as her, as without the two of them there wouldn't be a universe at all. For this article I also had to change the information about the pantheon (names and domains of the deities) and add some information about him. Just a little something to give him more depth. I really hope I was successful with it, so please let me know what you think. I know there is always something one could add, the one might not think of, but I also don't want to flowed my players with too much information.
Next article in line was another god, this time Bilgi, the god of knowledge. His original article was already not too bad, but I finally put it into the right format, switched images to match my overall art style and added some parts that were missing before. This new version is even better now and as he was hidden for such a long time, you might want to check it out.
The fourth article I redid was one of my old SC 2024 articles about a material: Luzidium Wood. Honestly, this one primarily needed to be switched into the right layout and get a new image to match Mirintha's current style.
And finally I reworked my article on the first ethnicity I wrote. It is about a matriachial society called the Haelsingar, living far north on the eastern continent Borendal. This one was a lot of work. I restructured the format and the order of topics, added a lot of new content about them, switched images and also written the Cypher System rules for them. The final result was really worth the work, because they now have even more depth and are hopefully interesting enough for you to check out.
The final article I wrote was for an unofficial challenge, hosted by Asmo. I wanted to write about a beautiful and colorful desert and due to the challenge, decided to dedicate this to Tyrdal's world of Aransha as it seemed like a perfect fit. It was a lot of fun writing this article, thinking about what lives and growse their and what dangers lurk behind the dunes.
Then came June. I think I did exactly nothing in June. First work was busy, then we had a visitor, then work again, then I got Corona, then June was over. And on that terrible dissapointment I'm going into July, during which I will be on vacation for half the month, so don't expect anything new from me until August ... and yes, this also means no SC for me this year.
I'm sorry to hear that, Leijona. Hope you're feeling better <3
Thank you girl! I'm good again, thanks for asking. Having fever during summer is even worse then during winter ... Can't wait to get back on world building in August :)
