The third bell

In the coastal city of Emitlestar lies a small temple dedicated to a long forgotten deity. The temple is in a surprisingly good condition. It has been allowed to remain since no one dares to touch it, fearing that something bad will happen if the temple is demolished.   It's said that the bells of the temple still toll long after the last priest died. The first bell marks midnight, the second bell is deeper, slower, and people who are still walking the streets knows that they should leave the area and people laying in their beds turn their back towards the temple and keep their eyes closed, the third toll of the bell should never have sounded.   Those unfortunate enough to hear the third bell say that it sounds unnatural, wrong, like metal dragged through water, the sound is too long and too low. It's said that when the bell rings, streetlamps flicker and the air thickens. The temple lies in a remote area of the city, but its reported that when the third bell rings, shadows begin to turn towards the temple, no matter their source of light, some people have even reported that their own shadows seem to remove towards the temple.   

If you hear the third bell, dont look to the sound. Close your eyes, hold your breath - and pray that it isnt your shadow that anaswers.

  Old stories related to the temple say that the third bell was bound, sealed in lead, the rope to it cut and that it was never meant to be heard by mortal ears, its said that the bell was forged in mourning, to summon the souls of the faitful on one special night. But when the bell sounds now, its dont call for hte faitful, it calls whatever answered first, something dark.
