Doehaum

Doehaum is a habitable tropical world, notable for being the homeworld of the Krijdan and the capital of the Krijdex Wardenship. The planet is the first satellite of the Leborain System, and does not have any moons. Doehaum has a particularly abundant biosphere, earning its classification as a tropical world. Approximately 60% of the planet's surface is covered by water, and the remainder was almost entirely covered by rainforest until large-scale urban development by the Krijdans. Higher latitudes feature cooler climates, with boreal forests leading into ice caps at the poles, while the equator is lined with hot and humid tropical jungles. Most of the population lives between the poles and equator, with a bias toward the poles.

The most important strucutre on Doehaum is the Grand Ward, a massive structure housing a series of gigantic psionic attenuators. Originally constructed centuries ago, the Ward was refurbished and upgraded in the early 23rd century CE in response to the encroachment of a psionic aura into the Leborain System. Hundreds of thousands of Krijdex soldiers guard the Ward and heavily shielded attenuators across the planet. Due to the effects of the Grand Ward on Doehaum and Shroud Seals in orbit, even the most potent psions find their abilities entirely nullified on Doehaum.

A significant majority of the planet's population live in megacities scattered across its surface, connected with extensive infrastructure networks. The planet's economy is focused on research and development, particularly in the field of anti-psionics. Doehaum is known across the galaxy for being the hub for the field, bringing in many visiting researchers and diplomats from states which face psionic threats. This also brings in spies from psionic states and cults, or simply other states wishing to acquire anti-psionic technology without paying. As such, enforcers have a heavy presence on Doehaum, with regular security checkpoints and mandatory tracking implants.
