Crystal Deep Mining Company - North Branch

The Crystaldeep Mining Company (CDM) main office is situated in the center of the industrial district of Basafield, with a sister location in Rakshem. Their primary focus is the extraction and refinement of all types of stone, ore, metal, and gems from in and around the Darkrock Mountains. The building is prominent in the area, standing 4 stories high. It can be seen from most vantage points within Basafield and is well known to those familiar with the area. The offices are generally kept organized and clean, and functions as a well-oiled machine a majority of the time. Each floor is used for a specific purpose:

1. The basement is used for specialized labor requiring a controlled environment such as refinement or stonecutting.
2. The first and second floors are not used as a primary workplace but rather they contain a mess hall, bathing rooms, storage, and other quality of life amenities to be used by miners before or after their shifts.
3. The third and fourth floors are used by the higher-ups to handle daily tasks such as public and political correspondence, workers safety, finances, and general management.

Recently, CDM has been working overtime to keep up with demand from the capital. Due to recent shutdowns of the Geography (List)|Grensing Ore Mines after the disastrous Grensing Flood, the primary production of mined materials has fallen upon Basafield and Rakshem almost entirely. Many employees of CDM have had to work late nights or double shifts to fulfill requests and orders which has led to exhaustion, sleep deprivation, and mental fatigue for most of the miners.

The Crystaldeep Mining Company is well-respected by the townsfolk not just as an economic benefit but as an employer. Employees are paid fairly and workplace accidents are often covered, so many of the families are able to sustain their lifestyles on a single income alone. The citizens of Basafield are proud to have CDM as a part of their town.

Services & Activities

CDM deals mainly in exporting stones and ores, raw metals, and precious gemstones. They act as the regular supplier of arms and armor for the Southern Province and part of the Western Provence.

Ownership & Management

The Primary owner of CDM travels between Risad, Basafield, and Rakshem to oversee operations. CDM also has local managers for each location. They are partially owned by each member of the management team as well as a handful of investors in the Risad and Basafield.
