Gnomes

Vibrant individuals with a zeal for life, gnomes are a quirky race of people who love to invent, experiment, tinker and generally get as much as they can out of what they are doing. They are a small statured race with an average height of 3ft and weighing in at 40-45 pounds, they have bright eyes of light shades, prodigious noses and hair that seems to stick out in all directions. Male gnomes like to groom their beards into points or forks which other races find amusing. Gnomes live in small but charming villages which are hidden from outsiders and predators by a shield of gnomish magic, the shield makes the village blend in with the landscape so well that even experienced outsiders have a hard time finding them. In contrast to their hidden homes, they love to travel to other places and see what societies have to offer; the sights and sounds of a bustling city fill gnomes with the same amount of curiosity as beautiful natural wonders.

Regional Variants

The gnomes of Central Midasfjall are native to the Forlorn Forest and the foothills of the Windpeak range. Due to the dangerous environment they find themselves in, young gnomes find themselves quickly thrown into encounters that could cost them their life if they aren't careful, this has left the race slow to trust strangers and they prefer to keep to themselves. If, however you do earn the trust of a gnome, you’ll find that they embrace you wholeheartedly and with the full extent of their whimsical nature. Many gnomes leave the forest to travel the land in search of fame and glory or just to see what the land has to offer. gnomes aren’t tied down by any formal alliances but all races treat them with neutrality.
