Malika
Archfiend Malika
Malika, the Great Fiend of Wind, is a powerful, insidious figure. Unlike most fiends, her appearance is more celestial in nature, with great feathered wings and her followers often appearing similar in nature. Her Wind Fiends are often alike to angelic beings, as well as other winged humanoids such as harpies. Malika, much like Rex, is a schemer, planning her next moves constantly. Her ultimate goal is to find Pandemonium while everyone else is occupied with the war between Sovereign and Khan, and lay claim to it before anyone else can even begin a proper search.
While akin to Rex in terms of being a schemer, Malika is far less moral. No alliance is sacred, no one truly important to her. If you make a deal with Malika, it is done with the knowledge that she will likely betray it if it would be conveient to her. Many still do, as Malika is a great source of information and power, and provided that it doesn't benefit her, she will not betray that trust... But if it would allow her to get even an inch ahead of where she is now, she would sell you out in a heartbeat.
Despite everything, she fears Sovereign, the powerful Great Fiend of Light. Their power is beyond compare and sensibilities, and no one has figured out how their power has increased so exponentially in the last few milennia. Sovereign had slain past forms of Malika many times, and seemed to take a cruel joy in it driving this fear deeper into her every time. When Khan finally caused a schism, she breathed easy for the first time in a long time. Finally she was able to send out her agents once more, knowing Sovereign wouldn't have the time to dedicate to dealing with her and her schemes, not when Khan was such an overwhelming threat to their rule. However, even with her agents spanning much of the Otherworld, she was unable to find even a trace of the lost Pandemonium.
The current Malika has held this form for only a few short decades, by the reckoning of the others, with the last having been visibly torn apart by Sovereigns followers in a grand display of power, in his capital city in the region of Reign. She continues to carry the trauma of this horrific execution, as well as the torture that form was forced to endure prior to the event, with her to this day. If not for her all consuming desire to find Pandemonium first, her greatest desire would be to see Sovereign not only killed, but sealed away in the same way As Kaiser, to ensure he could never return to torture her again. Perhaps with the power of the Arbiter, she could finally achieve that and be free of the horrific Devil of Light.
Frustrated with her search failing to find even the slightest trace, she ventured out one day, and while crossing over a volatile area of magic in the Kais region, a portal opened before her and beckoned her through. More than capable of refusing its call, she nevertheless chose to accept it. After all, if Pandemonium is not here, then perhaps it would be on another plane entirely. Thus she ventured through into Merulias version of Kais, the landmass known as Gazythrae. Immediately she sent the agents that had travelled with her to work exploring the area, feeling the pull of the great floating fortress, though only for a moment, before settling herself North of a large city, summoning her great defensive wall of wind as she prepared for a long hunt.
Some time later, a group of adventurers breached her winds, surprising her. Nevertheless, she did not slaughter the foolish mortals before her, but instead chose to play with them for a time, keeping her powers ready in reserve should they prove an actual threat, or not true to their word to communicate with her. Confident they had no magicks of banishing, and that they didn't pose a major threat to her, she eventually ended the battle. Intrigued by the Star based powers one of the adventurers showed, which smelled of Pandemonium to her, and their offer to provide information, she granted the group a Wind Sprite through which she could communicate with them if need be. Soon after, she set off, hunting for other such sources of that power. and to investigate a few areas the group had told her of.
The party had strange lapses in their memory or common sense, but later did inform her of a strange Obelisk floating over a place known as the salt, and thus armed with new knowledge, Malika ventured forth once more, confident that she would soon find her way to Pnademonium, and the power of the Arbiter.
Artifacts
Wings of Malika - A cloak worn by Malikas closest, land locked followers. The winds and skies belong to her, and she is willing to share that with her most loyal followers, should they be incapable of flight. When wearing this cloak, it appears simply as a feathered cloak split in two, but once attuned to, it forcibly fuses to its bearer, becoming incapable of removal but grants them the ability to transform the cloak into a pair of great wings, allowing them the freedom of flight, as well as a few other enchantments of Malika choice.
