Veritas, the Unborn King

Veritas, The Deathborn God, The Lord of Mortals, Master of Suffering, the Unborn King is a theoretical actual paradoxical anti-causal divinity that both exists and does not exist at the same time. Bearing the domains of Vengeance, Humility, Order, and Suffering. A strange, amorphous being that has never been seen outside of a single rendering planted in the mind of one dreaming Shining One which was then painted down and now marks the halls and churches of the mysterious headquarter of The Church, only known as The Bright Cathedral. Communicating in its strange, prophecy and interpretable dream messages that it sends to its followers, Veritas is an enigmatic figure that few know very little if anything about.

Artifacts

The Iron Mask, known to suffuse the wearer that is accepted by Veritas with immense physical and magical might, granting them the ability to grand others divinity based magic such as clerics and paladins for some time.

The Lightblade, the only other item granted to the initial four founders of the chuch. It is a dagger of immense radiant power, the blade seemingly forged of a glowing glass.

Holy Books & Codes

The Scripture is known as the primary holy book that is read from during sermon. Pages are added every so often when a member of The Church receives a dictation dream. These are the best dreams regarding coherent encounters with the unborn god, as his powerful, divine voice fills the dreams. Often those who receive these are driven insane and only able to utter the new code or psalm that has been delivered to them.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The stylized cross with the circle above the semi-circle horizontal bar represents Veritas. Four four pointed stars over a black background symbolizes the guiding tenets placed into effect by the founding four members of the church.

Tenets of Faith

The basic laws and commandments of the Church of Veritas are as follows:

Humility above all: One is no more than the sum of their actions, beliefs, and desires. Do not place yourself above your fellow mortal, for any reason.

Vengeance for the wronged: The wronged, the weak, those unable to protect themselves should be avenged if they cannot be saved. Do not spare the enemies of Veritas a single thought of mercy, for they will not show you the same.

Order guides chaos: To live in order is to be able to overcome any obstacle. Do not allow the taint of chaos to alter your orderly existence.

Suffering brings salvation: To suffer and to suffer justly is to bring salvation and know your work is just. Do not fear suffering, be it spiritual, emotional, or physical.

Holidays

Day of Light: Held on the 19th of Ces every year, this day marks the communion between Veritas and the four founders, giving them their holy mission and The Iron Mask as well as the Lightblade. It is celebrated with intense prayer and preaching followed by feasts and celebrations and is an extremely unusually jolly affair. The Unburdening: Held on the 35th of Fea, the last day of the year, the congregation gathers and they all confess their sins wherever they may be. Then a congregnt chooses a method of their choice and punishes themselves physically, emotionlly, or spiritually to suffer deeply. This endures from noon to midnight and is believed to allow members of the church to cleanse their souls and feed their suffering to Veritas

Divine Goals & Aspirations

The goals of Veritas are utterly unknown. This is for many reasons, mostly of which comes down to the fact he has not yet been born and no one has had a true conversation with him.
