Brunaidh

Brunaidhs are small ferric creature said to live hidden in households, cleaning the home when the owners are asleep. As a payment for their services, they steal the owners food from their cupboards.   If the owner somehow manages to keep food from, or hurt, a brunaidh, the creature will leave the house forever and take revenge on the owner. This revenge can take the form of a harmless prank, although it can escalate to burning the house down entirely, even at night when the owners are asleep.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Brunaidhs have a humanoid shape, though they are lacking a nose. They have small pointy teeth and big round ears. Their eyes are yellow and their skin has a brownish tint.

Ecology and Habitats

Brunaidhs avoid densely populated areas. They are mostly found in remote isolated houses, or small villages. It lives hidden, having the ability to become invisible at will.   Because those zones are often poor, the presence of a brunaidh poses a certain dilemna. Either leaving it alone and letting it take the food it wants, or try to make it go away but risking its wrath.
