Aljudnir
Aljudnir is the capitol of Valeknaar, in which lives most of the dwarven society. It is divided in two, with the high-city ordered by clan importance, and the sub-city hosting the filthies.
Demographics
In the high city live the dwarves who are part of a clan. The King's palace is on the highest part of the city, with his clan on the part directly below it. Each clan occupies a lower place the less important it is.
In the sub-cities are banished all filthies. Though no rule forbids them to leave the sub-city, they are not allowed in the high city, which is the only way to leave the sub-city.
Guilds and Factions
All seven surviving clans have an impact on the city. Aljudnir is never quite safe, despite the killing prohibition, especially since it only applies to dwarves. The clans' rivals that are external trading guilds for example, are often victims of "accidents" when they take displeasing decisions, and must thus be careful who they trade with and how.
