Venrona Sarnelis
Professor Venrona Sarnelis
Starting her life humbly as a daughter of a carpenter, Venrona dreamed of traveling the world with the ships that left the docks of her home town, Eirvil, and as the destiny would have it, she would get her chance. Proving her capabilities in magic and with her academic prowess, Venrona found her way from bottom to the very top, even if history already kinda tried to forget her in to the shadow of her wife Caifiel Xanratra from far more prestigious bloodline.
Venrona made her mark as a talented linguist, researching relation between culture and language, specially how the two feed to one another. She has also become a bit of a niche celebrety among wizards interested of onomancy, due to her extensive notes and studies about different ways language is used to channel magic in different cultures and traditions around the shores of the Mirror's Deep.

Personal history
Venrona was born in the port city of Eirvil, which has always been more of a hasty stop or a little pause for the travellers than an actual destination. Venrona's father was as carpenter working in the royal shipyards, and young Venrona spend her days learning from sailors, travelers and fishermen. She yearned to travel the seas to faraway places, and loved listening stories from the vast world beyond the ocean and learning languages from the travellers.
It was very clear from young age that Venrona was skilled, clever and ambitious, and her family wished for her better future. Through some contact and favors, Venrona's parents managed to get Venrona a chance to meet with wizard Eiless Clavael, who was looking for an assistant at that time, and Venrona's wit, curiosity and good manners intruiged the older woman, and she took Venrona under her wing. At the start, Venrona was simply running errands, but as she started to show more promise, Eiless took Venrona as her apprentice, teaching her magic, as well as filling her then rather humble education. When she was asked about her increasing interest of the young ones education, she simply replied.
"Mind as sharp as hers should not go to waste."
Through her hard work and Eiless' recomendations, Venrona was eventually accepted to Royal Academy of Knowledge of Tel'Taurn Tal, which would change her life forever.
