Oerth - "Greyhawk"
"World of Greyhawk" by Gary Gygax
This sphere has been shattered into many shards by the events at Tovag Baragu.
Greyhawk is the original Great Wheel cosmology world. Its surface glimmers with deep fractures. Between these cracks, subtle differences give clues to the realities within.
To an outside observer, the whole structure looks like it's been rearranged, formed into a tree with branches and roots that fork into each shard. A sign of the gods’ efforts to protect the prototype Wheel from total collapse.

Greyhawk brings to the table:
- Low-Key Fantasy. Magic is rarer and less flashy, giving adventurers a chance to shine against a grittier backdrop.
- Warring Factions. Nations and groups like the Great Kingdom, Furyondy, Iuz, and the Circle of Eight constantly scheme.
- Dungeon Origins. Many classic adventures (Temple of Elemental Evil, Tomb of Horrors) began here. It is the home of classic dungeon-crawling.
- Mortal Stakes. Gods exist but meddle less directly. Mortal politics, wars, and exploration dominate.
- Old-School Tone. Grounded sword-and-sorcery atmosphere with knights, mercenaries, ruined castles, and a wilderness full of danger.
