Bugbears

Bugbears are exceptionally tall cousins of Goblins. In the early days of goblin slavery, the Orcs undertook selective breeding programs among their goblin slaves. The biggest and strongest were bred together until the Bugbears were born. Used for centuries as shock troops by their orc masters, freedom has left most bugbears without a trade. As a result, in the years before the end, most bugbears could be found employed as mercenaries. Now they find themselves alone in a world that sees them as savage brutes and has little use for armies.
Bugbears stand between 6 and 8 feet tall, and weigh between 250 and 350 lbs fully grown. They have long, thickly muscled limbs that appear almost unnatural compared to the size of their torso. Their large feet are heavily padded, and they often forgo footwear, giving them a surprisingly light step for their size.
