Shadow Quarter
"The Shadow Quarter has always held a great interest and intrigue in Feyn scholars. For the longest time it was a vast lifeless expanse of ice and unsirvivable cold. No plants, mosses or Lichen. And nothing preserved in Ice either. It wasnt until the Shadow Walkers built a civilization in the glaciers that exploration kicked off. We discovered Gehalnic Ruins, new kinds of Ethereum, and a strange stationary fog from which none return." - The Historian's Recollections of Marda, 7th Generation
Geography
The Shadow Quarter is the coldest, most barren place on the planet. So far out of the reqch of the sun that even the ice has become as stone. The most prominent feature of this lifeless wasteland is the Senma Glacier, which is over 3500 kilometers in diameter. At the base of the glacier is a vast field of loose ice. Chunks to large to be considered snow, but small enough to be held in a hand.
The Sanivar Pillars connect with the Shadow Quarter, and is the only place you might find a living creature. The Likdrum Mist is found following the circumference of the glacier, and it seems to expand for forty kilometers.
The Luna Temple is a Gehalnic Ruin built on the gravitational south Pole of Marda, and its function seems to be harnessing the Celestial Key Event. Built into a hidden place in the glacier is the Tomb of Atlas, where the hero Atlas and the lich Terevax are buried far from the reaches of society. There is a large city carved into the glacier. Built by the Shadow Walkers, it is called Enla. The City of Eternal Ice.
