Dusk Quarter
"I remember the first time I set foot in the Dusk Quarter. I remember thinking about how unbelievably cold it was. Of course Ive heard the stories of the Great Freezes, but there was no way I could have been less prepared. My shell simply wasnt capable of holding in enough heat, and my legs couldnt grip the mush of the terrain. If it wasnt for Aklan, I surely would have frozen to death in that damned swamp." -Records of Nosht Everant, the Second Champion of Silos
Geography
The Dusk Quarter is known to be the last place light touches. And it doesnt even really touch. In the Dusk Quarter, you can periodically see the edge of the light in the Horizon as the place is perpetually cloaked in the dark of dusk. In the night. In this place, water is fairly abundant, if not in the form of rivers, lakes, or oceans. But the Landra Marsh is a massive swamp that covers miles of the Quarter, bordering it is the Landra Forest and Greater Landra Forest, though the Greater forest is just a collection of larger trees and denser forests. Its in this part of the forest that the Apios Hive was placed before The Watcher burnt it down in search of Maladia's paradigem.
On the other side of a mountain range is a vast field of tough rocky flatlands colonized by Slipherii Trees and Padalas Flowers, a giant lichen that grows bioliminescent bulbs. Its known as the Belva Mossfields
Seperating the Landra Marsh and the Belva Mossfields is the Ver'skal Mountains, a range that cuts through the Dusk Quarter and into the Senma Glacier of the Shadow Quarter.
Past this area of lush and diverse life, bordering the Shadow Quarter and Landra Marsh is a rocky and ice covered field with giant rocky spikes grown up from the ground. These are called the Sanivar Pillars and very large lifeforms make this cold place their home. The Pillars even move into the Shadow Quarter , and end where the Likdrum Mist begins.
Throughout the Dusk Quarter, bioluminescent life is a very common trait, and is almost universal. Furthermore, rainfall is extremely rare. It never reaches tempertures that water can truly evaporate, and instead humidity builds up into thick fogs which condensate into ice during regular freezing events.
Natural Resources
Naturally occuring Arcstones throughout the entire Dusk Quarter are:
Invitite, in very large amounts.
Korinsite, modestly but reliably.
Crystal Sterilite, rarely at great depths.
