Ixingai Moxa
Ixingai Moxa ("hot spirit-root" in Iuxat) is an Epicyclist mythological cycle found in Rostran Esotericist.
Summary
The Ixaba frames the Curved Time as a place not only in time, but a spiritual place to which the spirits of the dead return and from which the spirits of mortals arise at some point before birth. Ixingai Moxa is a transitory surface between the temporal world of the Manifold Sky and the spiritual plane of the Curved Time.
The birth facet of Ixingai Moxa is the "Ixaumingai adOsanvas" (spiritually feminine root of blood), a facet associated with the vascularization of the placenta that instantiates the natal soul into the temporal world at the moment of quickening. Ixaumaika is usually considered the personified spiritual agent of Ixaumingai adOsanvas, though some Hierophants posit that Ixaumosana fits this position better given the seas' important role in the cycles of the natural world. The death facet of Ixingai Moxa is "Ixutabeung" (spiritually vegetative decay), a facet associated with the loosing of the soul back into the Curved Time with the dissolution of the body. Ixutabmut is the personified spiritual agent of Ixutabeung. The 'heat' inherent to Ixingai Moxa comes from the unbroken cycle of cosmic change, or "Ixuxulia" (spiritual animacy), and is symbolically associated with Ixeunvatio, the spirit of life-giving daylight and all organic activity.
Historical Basis
The Rostran peoples have long recognized that plants play an important role in the nutrient and water cycles. Therefore, plants and the imagery of plants are prominent features of spiritual conversations surrounding the topic of death. Similarly, Ixeunvatio's role as mediator of the spiritual-physical transition via heat comes from the Rostran understanding that all life and change can be traced back to the heat and light provided by the sky above.
