The Vampire Gods

Article Contents

The Vampire Gods are not native to Earth. They came from somewhere beyond. No one knows how they were made or what made them. What is known from Elven descriptions made at the time was that Elven technology rivaled their own and they arrived on Earth via ships. Whether that meant space ships or some magical chariot or some other means is up for interpretation.

After arriving on Earth, in the Middle East, these Vampire Gods immediated attacked the local gods there, killing them and draining them of their blood. These Gods then reanimated into strange corrupted Zombie Gods that started to cause chaose in the neighboring lands.

There was no way for the Pantheons of Earth to defeat the Vampire Gods. Each one was individually as powerful as an army of Gods. So what did the Gods of Earth do? The Skyfathers and several representatives of the Gods went into the Primeval Void. There they found it, a Sleeping god surounded by multiple other chaotic beings. These beings did not appear human like most of Earth's Gods. Their appearances are rather indescribably horrifying. Together this was the Court of Chaos, and in unison, they were Primordial Chaos.

The Request was simple. Remove Godhood from the Vampire Gods and drain their power. Make it so they can be killed. Chaos considered the request for a moment then agreed and made it happen, though they also made other things happen as a consequence of the Gods' hasty request.

On Earth the Vampire Gods lost their immortality. Many of them found it insufferable to be out in the sun. Some were so weak their skin would melt in running water. They were weak like they were before they became gods. They had to go into hiding underground. It seemed like the Vampire threat was dealt with for good, but it wasn't.

Each of the Vampire Gods were mortals now and they couldn't hope to challenge a god, but they were still powerful beings. Each of them stalked around for many centuries, biting unsuspecting people, turning them into the first Earth-Born Vampires. These vampires passed their traits to their children, and while their Vampire DNA is extremly dilluted thousands of years later, any expression of the Sanguine Sequence causes a person to exhibit many known vampire traits like super strength and agility, the ability to fly and shapeshift, and more.

The Original Vampire Gods eventually died out. Their goal was to eventually drink the blood of a divine being, which would give them their godhood back, but they never got their chance. Only one vampire ever drank the blood of a god since then, and his power was vast.

Lilith

Also known as Lilu Namtar, Lilith was originally a powerful goddess of seduction and could cast powerful blood magics. After Chaos took her power, she was still in the Middle East, in the deserts of Babylon. She hid inside crumbling temples and caverns during the day. At night, she stalked the streets of the ancient city, biting and drinking the blood of anyone she could get her hands on. She was particularly fond of drinking the blood of young girls. It wasn't long before most of the women in Babylon were actually vampires. This caused the GodMarduk, Patron God of Babylon and Chief of the Mesopotamian Gods, to be so horrified at the revelation that he destroyed Babylon, but he managed to kill Lilith and most of the vampires, though many others scattered across the desert by this time.

Modern Vampires that are descended from Lilith do not have her seductive powers anymore, but they still have access to blood magic and are quite strong and agile. The Anagi Clan of Vampires has for almost a thousand year been trying to "breed" a child with an unbroken sequence of Lilith's DNA. With this sequence, the child could theoretically turn into an Avatar of Lilith, which could make them the most powerful being on Earth. Now how to turn the child into this avatar is a different story...

"This is her! This is the one who gave me a bad name! She's the one who killed children and drank their blood! So, yeah, like stop blaming me for something this stupid vampire did!

Dracula

Dracula was not an ancient Vampie God, but is the only one from more recent times. It isn't known which of the ancient vampire gods he was descended from, but it is known which god he drank blood from.

Tiamat the many headed dragon of Chaos. In Greece, she was known as Typhon. This dragon was already defeated by Zeus long ago, but its blood seeped deep into the earth, gathering in caverns below Eastern Europe.

Dracula, then going by a different name, was a king of Transylvania, a buffer kingdom between the Ottoman Empre and the rest of Europe. After a particularly brutal battle caused Dracula and all of his men to retreat, Dracula was chased into the mountains and into a deep cave. There he found the Lake of Blood. Dracula took a sip from this lake and immediately feel power flowing through him. It is said that he drank the lake dry to turn into a God. Other stories say he only took a sip and the location of the lake is kept secret among members of the Dragon Clan.

Dracula then emerged from the cave a powerful god. He transformed into a large winged dragon and defeated the Ottoman army by himself. From there, he firmly established himself as the Ruler of Transylvania and Wallachia. He completely tipped the balance of power among the Vampires. Dracula unfortunately got too ambitious with his power, and was defeated by a combination of Vatican forces and representatives from the other Vampire Clans. His body is kept dormant under the Vatican currently.

"... I'll prove it to you! The Balaurs have the ability to shapeshift into Dragons you know."
"Cool... Just, don't do it inside. I'm in enough trouble with the school."
