Selene

Where once barren regolith was the only presence between outposts, now an ash-white boreal forest stands as testament to Humanities technological height. Now the moon is as habitable as Gaia itself is, and is estimated to have it's remaking unravel last of all the planets in the decamillennium that it will take.
Not many people live on the moon for extended periods, but the few that do are often those who prefer solitude but do not want to disappear completely.
There wasn't much action on the moon, at least directly on its surface, during the Great War. It was, however, home to humanities greatest arsenal of ground-to-space weaponry in the solar system. Nothing could approach it, and everything that did met its end far sooner than they expected. Now, most of the guns and missiles rust in their bunkers and silos, left since the wars end with no one to care for them.
That being said, there is a healthy culture of scavenging on the moon, as there is everywhere humanity planted its flag before the war. Many of the more space-inclined species try to make off with the still potent ammunition or the guns themselves to mount uppon their vessels.
There is talk amongst the Humans on earth of attempting to reactivate the guns. Some of them, at least. The control over Earth territory such a move would provide would be unprecedented, but there is also concern that they would not be able to hold it and such a move would encourage others to take the hardpoint from Humanity and use it against them.
