Necromancer
Type: Nihil
Nihil is a dangerous power source to wield. It has a sort of sentience; one that is hungry for life, and resentful at being denied it. It’s easy for an unprepared necromancer to lose control. If they do, they might find themselves facing a ravenous undead horde, or have the life force stripped from their bodies, leaving them a shambling husk. Because of this, necromancers usually begin with summoning spirits, only later learning how to channel the dark energies of the Night Sea directly.
Necromancer Concepts
- Blood Mage: You can siphon the life and spirit from others, redistributing it as you please. With blood sacrifices, you can empower yourself and others in various ways.
- Death Knight: You are a dread warrior, calling upon the power of Nihil for strength. Dark magic flows through your body, making you all but unkillable.
- Reanimator: Through study, you have learned how to channel Nihil energy into corpses, reanimating them into an inversion of life. Your command over death allows you to control the dead you’ve risen as your minions.
- Shadowmancer: You command Nihil directly, summoning and shaping shadows that devour light and life. Stepping into shadows allows you to slip into the Night Sea and teleport short distances.
- Spiritualist: You summon forth the spirits of the dead. Through them, you can cause poltergeist effects, generate grim hallucinations, and afflict others with dread and despair.
