Costa Grande

Costa Grande is a vast urban sprawl, situated along a relatively straight, continuous stretch of Pacific Ocean coastline. The eastern parts border an enormous expanse of desert wasteland, while the northern hills eventually lead to redwood forests. It is one of the largest and most influential cities in the world, having long been a world leader in culture, entertainment, and technology.   To outsiders, Costa Grande is known for the iconic sunsets and surfer culture of Gran Ocaso Beach, the elite cinema coming out of the studios of Silverdale, the world-famous Wonderworld amusement park, and the civil rights movements that flourished in the mutant haven of Tomorrow City. But life in Costa Grande isn’t all sun and fame; the city struggles with massive amounts of poverty, particularly in the slums of Southside, and has become infamous for its enormous prison district: an entire cordoned-off neighborhood known as The Dump.   Rumors persist of supernatural phenomena in and around the city. There have been many alleged sightings of strange creatures in the city’s largest park: The Sauce. Meanwhile, Langren Valley, to the north, is a hotspot for UFO sightings. Many people even swear that they’ve stumbled upon a mysterious Veiled City, overgrown with jungle, that exists in parallel to Costa Grande.
