The Gateway Interstellar Transit Hub

The GIT, or GIT Hub coloquially, is the largest spaceport on Madrisa Prime and is reponsible for over 75% of its average annual transatmospheric transit of both goods and travellers. Local spaceports elsewhere on the planet may manage select goods or hold contracts for specific locations but none can hope to rival the area and volume of traffic processed through the GIT Hub. Except in special diplomatic circumstances, all travellers from outside the Madrisa system will have to pass through a rigorous customs and decontamination protocol before accessing the rest of the planet. Cargo is likewise scrutinized and filtered through several stages of assessment to levy tariffs, certify authenticity, and test for contamination threats among other criteria. The security of its depots is considered sacrosanct and the Digo are well known for the brutality with which they punish theives and (unsanctioned) smugglers.   While it is not the true fastness of the spacefaring monopoly, Digo does maintain limited sovereign control over most of the precincts of the GIT and their agents have no compunction about exercising their authority. Clashes between Digo representatives and assessors of the Alloministry are common but generally polite. Captains, on the other hand, vary wildly in their approach to terrestrial legal jurisdiction and are as likely as not to flout any attempts to investigate their affairs when handling personal business. Thankfully this is a rare occurence as the infrastructure of their estates usually negotiate these matters well in advance to avoid any unnecessary intercession on their parts.
