Moonspire

The Moonspire is the closest thing the Captains of the The Sovereign Fleet have to a headquarters on the capital planet. Naturally, it isn't on the planet at all but instead is the colloquial name for the numerous private estates and luxury residences that have overwhelmed Madrisa Prime's only significant natural satellite. The abundance of alloy makes this orbiting palatial monument glitter in the night sky as both lofty dream and bitter impossibility.   While not technically exclusive to the Captains, it's an open secret that admission is invitation only and heavily influenced by the opinions of the most respected Captains. Every now and then a puffed up aristocrat makes a show of trying to gain residence but if their true home is decidedly terrestrial their aspirations soon rejoin them on more earthly footing with a healthy dose of embarrassment. Less often, surreptitious raids are attempted but none have ever succeeded as far as anyone knows. The Moonspire is an unofficial defensive fortification that supports the orbital platforms and polar fortresses with arguably more resources than either. No one thinks the Captains actually leave anything of real value in their largely unoccupied mansions but they haven't spared any expense when seeing to their defense.
