☆ Executionists / Angels
The Executionists or "Angels" are the ruling folk of the Aariciati. The name "Executionist" refers to the quests their charms produce. The nickname "Angels" refers to the rule that keeps them alive.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Aariciati are much like humans in their anatomy. They appear as humans but with slight differences such as their wings, horns, charms, and unique eyes.
☆ WINGS
The wings of the Executionists are long and thick, to assist with the fast speeds they must travel at it to collect their prey. Due to the nature of the wings, Executionists cannot hide their wings without a lot of pain and physical strain. Wings also grow from the head of the Executionist. These wings are leftovers from when the Executionist was once a Chain. They serve little to no purpose.
☆ HALOS
Executionists are the only species without a halo.
Genetics and Reproduction
Not a single Executionist is born an Executionist. Attempt at reproduction for Executionists has been proven to be impossible.
Growth Rate & Stages
Each Aarciati begins as a Chain. As they grow older, how they decide to treat their charm determines whether they will continue as a Chain or an Upperhand.
AGE 1 - 10 Beginning stages. Charms haven't fully developed and cannot be shattered. Quests don't exist yet. A sin has not been chosen. Charms are to be refilled on the daily with a nectar that's emptied from a fully grown charm. To get this nectar, a person has to cause a slight crack in their charm and pour it into the young one's charm.
AGE 11 - 15 Mediant stages. Charms are not yet fully developed but are at high risk of shattering. Small quests are to be completed. A sin has not been chosen. Charms are to be refilled using the quest system. Unlike the older ages, if these quests are to not be completed; shattering can and will occur. Charms are very fragile at this age.
AGE 16 - 21 Growth stages. Charms begin to rapidly grow and form a shield. Full quests are to be completed. Sins are chosen. Charms are to be refilled using the quest system. If the person is not careful, the shield around the charm may not grow properly and cause shattering.
AGE 22+ Fully grown charms. Feeding young charms is possible. Shattering can now heal and the charm has grown its shield. Sins and classifications have been chosen. Full quests refill charms. Shattering only occurs through refusal of quests. This stage is the only stage where a chain can become an UpperHand. If one survives the Devils, immortality is common.
To become a Executionist, a fully grown Chain must either..
- Shattering their charm slowly and overtime through slight denial of a quest. (Doing the quest just a little wrong)
- Shattering their charm slowly and suddenly performing the complete opposite of a quest
- Attempting Suicide by pouring poison inside the nectar of their charm
- Entering the dream world and choosing to become a Executionist
- Entering Executionist territory
- Reviving an Executionist
Ecology and Habitats
Executionists live in a split off part of the land, blocked by a wall so tall only they can fly over. They live in a cave on the mountains where they can harvest their metals.
Dietary Needs and Habits
☆ CHARMS Every Aariciati is granted a small charm at birth. It is of their utmost concern to take care of this charm or death will collect them. These charms are small figures of varying shapes made of glass. Inside these charms is a nectar. This nectar automatically refills once a quest that is projected once a day on a Aariciati's palm is completed. These quests range in varying difficulty but correlate with the Aariciati's sin. Berries can be crushed into nectar and inserted into the charm for a quick refill. Mental and Physical health plays a large factor in the welfare of a charm. Those with low mental or physical health will drain faster than those with high mental or physical health.
Every time a Executionist kills a fully grown chain, another year gets added onto their lifespan. But, if they“sin” outside of being an executionist; their immortality is revoked and their charm is temporarily paralyzed.
Behaviour
Due to the nature of their charms, they appear as cold-hearted or manic while they are the kindest of the Upperhands. While the towns are sleeping, they secretly perform their good deeds to refill their charms and avoid panic. They execute hundreds on the daily but they are so used to it, they believe they are doing a favor to the world. This is due to Kelsi Potenza.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
After the boundary break caused by Kelsi, the Aariciati were granted special powers that came with their respective sin. With every sin, there are also general abilities of the Angels.
☆ EYESIGHT The Aariciati are known for having exceptional eyesight. As the days became darker, they adapted to be able to see more clearly in the dark. Their eyes can slide into saucers at anytime to allow more light
☆ CHARMS
Since the charms of Executionists are shattered, their charms grew an extra protective layer. This makes it near impossible to shatter an Executionist without manipulation. Although with this perk, Executionist's charms drain 4x quicker than any other charm. This requires them to consistently refill.
☆ WINGS
Fast speeds of flying. Described as a flash of light across the sky. "Halo lights"
☆ MAGIC
Although Executionists have very little magic, their weapons are specifically forged to quickly shatter any charm. With special bullets and materials being made of metals only found in Executionist terrain.
Civilization and Culture
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Although they share a space with Resurectionists, they are not fond of them and are consistently fighting them.
Genetic Ancestor(s)
Conservation Status
Kelsi Potenza and Conner Mercy are the only Executionists alive. There used to be a third by the name Bee, but they mentally declined and shattered themself.
