Delthor
"Snakes kingdoms. Magic men. Beast dwarves and metal soldiers. What in the world is wrong with this place?" - Ruvendiar, Sun elf cartographerFar to the east, across the Mokantese ocean, is the Delthor Landmass, consisting of two major continents, Danshea and Turell. These lands are wild and alien to the people of Hitram, massive wild jungles can be found on Danshea and the largest mountains in the world tower over Turell. Those that come from Delthor usually speak of ancient empire in endless wars, or a gnome nation that has existed for over four millennia, or an island irreversibly changed by cosmic magic.
Geography
Delthor is split into two continents, Danshea to the north and Turell to the south. Danshea is a land of extremes, the Ashaseara Jungle takes up a large area in the center of the continent and the Telisa Mountains cut off the chief trade ports from the rest of Danshea. The northern coast is marked by black sand and strange magical phenomena such as sudden and violent storms made of oily rain and burning sleet.
Meanwhile in Turell the massive Hebbertine Mountains are more perilous than any other on Lusamiel, not only are they home to the warmongering Cursed dwarves and enslaving minotaurs of Labythia, but they are also contain several passages into the Underdark and to the Drow city of Menixorazzn, a stronghold built into the very walls of the Underdark and transports more slaves than anywhere else.
There is also the island of Sybelline which is a magically charged anomaly of a land that has recently become home to various races from across the planes. The Genasi have set up their city in what was once a great forest but has now become a red desert due to the elemental forces unleashed when they suddenly appeared on the Material Plane. And even disregarding the magical dangers there are also the dangerous and uncharted Weedwood, home to the Lythari and Wild elves, and the dormant volcano Mount Callipher that houses the greatest city of the Sun elves.
Localized Phenomena
The oil storms on the Blackened Coast have become infamous for their destructive capabilities and have dissuaded all but the heartiest from being anywhere near it. The entire region has been altered by some unknown magical event in Danshea's lost past and permanently produces twisted versions of local animals called Rotted Ones. As for the rest of the continent, Danshea regularly is assaulted by the serpentine kin of the Yuan-Ti, left in dark corners of the southwest of Danshea after they were repelled back into the Ashaseara Jungle, while their meat and bones are useful magical ingredients they are so dangerous that most opt to leave any place they are inhabiting altogether.
A more benign magical phenomenon however, is the Sea elf city of Sashal Herr that rests beneath the waves in the Magnerrian Gulf. Once every three months the city rises momentarily above the sea and releases a wave of magical energy before sinking back down into the depths.
Turell is no stranger to magical anomalies either, as the very nature of the Cursed Dwarves was born from a divine curse placed on them for their horrific atrocities. The remnants of the Demonic Incursion the the dwarven city of Fellguard in particular has left the city with a foul reputation for ritual killing and fiend worship that has lead to a high concentration of Tieflings being born in recent years.
The island of Sybelline has always been a place charged with magic and extra-planar activity, but the appearance of the Genasi and more recently the Kalashtar have caused Wild Magic incidents to skyrocket on the island as the flow of magic becomes for unstable. It is believed that one more extra-planar crossing will cause a massive magical surge the likes of which haven't been seen since the Fall of Mokar.
History
Delthor's history is steeped in ancient conflicts and recent magical changes, the Immortal War has been raging between Labythia and Hiell for millennia and shows no sign of slowing. The Yuan-Ti presence in Danshea has lessened in recent years but they had previously ruled the entire southwestern portion of the continent from their kingdom of Sshanas in the Ashaseara Jungle.
Sybelline has been permanently altered by the intervention of the Genasi on their northern tip and the Kalashtar in their southern. Though the Genasi have been their for close to two millennia, the Kalashtar have only been present for five hundred years by comparison. Their capital, Dom'n Roy'Uul, has since become a magical metropolis in which spell casters from across the world have gone to study the rare extra-planar phenomena that occurs surrounding the city.
However, the most important event between Sybelline and Turell is the Hunt of The Lythari, which saw dwarven hunters kill and devour hundreds of Lythari elves in hopes of gaining their shape-changing powers. The result was only the anger of their gods and the dwarves were cursed and turned into half-animal half-dwarf beasts that at first went mad from the change. Overtime however they regained their sanity and created the empire of Hiell on Turell, according to the Cursed Dwarves this was all due to their immortal god-king, the Beast King.
