The Keeper
Few know of the deity called The Keeper. Its origins and the path that led it to become a deity remain entirely unknown. What little is understood comes from Aerith's observations and her single, direct encounter with it—one unforgettable moment in the forest.
The Keeper is a dark entity. When it appeared before Aerith, it resembled black flames, taking on a faintly humanoid shape. The figure was so vague that even up close, no distinct features could be discerned. It seemed capable of appearing and vanishing in an instant, and when it manifested, the surroundings dimmed, as though it could blot out sunlight.
In their first encounter, The Keeper told Aerith that fury fuels it. It also knew things about Aerith that should have been impossible to know. She deduced that ever since Zharrus was taken by the Warforged, The Keeper had sensed her fury and had been following her since. From the moment she acquired her staff, Aerith began hearing very soft whispers from the gem embedded within it. Over time, she started speaking to it, and these whispers ultimately led her to meet the group now known as The Order of Adamant. She has never heard any response coming out of the gem.
It is clear that The Keeper wields immense power, but its true intentions remain a mystery.
