Tacton
A Warforged from a legend that is only known to some. Those people speak in hushed reverence of the Warforged who braved the infamous Tomb of Annihilation alongside a band of remarkable adventurers. Though little is known about each of them, tales persist of their diverse company—a bardic Grung named Pip, a Water Genasi paladin named Opal, a Gnome wizard named Master Quamael, a Goblin ranger named Gobu, and, of course, the Warforged, Tacton.
Together, they delved deep into the deadly tomb, navigating lethal traps, battling formidable foes, and solving intricate puzzles that would have bested lesser adventurers. They pressed ever onward, until at last, they reached the final chamber—where an immense and unfathomably powerful creature awaited them.
The battle was brutal and the odds seemed insurmountable. Just when all hope seemed lost, the Gnome wizard turned Pip into a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex, shifting the tides of battle in an instant. With renewed strength, the party struck down their monstrous foe, claiming victory where so many had fallen before them.
Yet their triumph was short-lived. As they made their way out of the tomb, a final, unforeseen trap was sprung. Boulders rained from the sky, shaking the very earth beneath them. Chaos erupted as the party scattered, running for their lives. The storm of stone seemed almost… targeted. Tacton and Pip, barely dodging the deadly barrage, found themselves cornered. In a desperate bid for safety, they stumbled into a cave, hoping to find refuge from the destruction. However, their relief was fleeting. A massive boulder struck the mountain itself, sending tremors through the cavern. The walls shuddered, and then, the ceiling began to collapse. Pip, caught in the center of the chaos, froze—not at all prepared for what was happening. And so, Tacton made his final choice. In one swift motion, he pushed the little bard out of harm’s way. The last thing Pip saw was his Warforged companion standing firm, unyielding, as the ceiling came crashing down upon him. Dust filled the air. Silence followed. Pip scrambled forward, desperately clawing at the rubble. His mandolin lay shattered beside him, rendering his magic useless. He pushed against the stones with all his might, but his small frame was powerless against the weight of the rocks. He refused to leave, refused to abandon his companion. But as Tacton's voice, weak but resolute, reached him from beneath the wreckage, he knew there was no choice. "I'm at peace with the outcome of our little adventure. You must go, Pip. The world still needs you." Tears welled in Pip’s bulbous eyes. He shook his head, unwilling to accept it—but deep down, he knew Tacton was right. With a heavy heart and one last, lingering glance, the little Grung turned away. Alone, he ventured deeper into the cave, carrying the weight of a legend lost.

Recent Events and Updates
- After Mind learned about this story by reading The Visions of Or'Voth, Mot'Jhazar elaborated on it— revealing to The Order of Adamant the names of the Grung and Warforged. The characters that had entered the Tomb of Annihalation were involved in the War of the Gods. This war had ultimately resulted in their deaths since neither of them were ever seen again. Through Mind's vision, Jhazar came to the conclusion that there was a possibility that Tacton could still be buried underneath the rubble. It is rumoured that Pip meant to return to him, but this likely never happened. Based on the information Jhazar had, he deduced the location of Tacton's burial - somwhere in the vast mountain range north of Arsica.
- During the adventure inside of Skaven Town Drajag Silverheart stumbled upon Tacton by total accident. He got plucked from the prison to take a look at something mechanical. There Tacton was, in pieces and battered all propped up against the wall. The thing that caught Drajag's eye the most was some sort of glowing stone at the place where a human heart would've been. A Skaven magician and assistant had already examined Tacton for some time. They thought there was a high possibility that Tacton could be mended. Drajag asked about the glowing stone and the magician told him he thought it could be some sort of gem that is likely an energy source. Drajag took another good look at Tacton and told the Skaven's that the chances of him fixing a hand was going to be a hard task, but fixing and arm or leg would be easier. And so they got to work. During the entire duration of the party's stay in Skaven Town, Drajag was able to fix an arm. After hell broke lose, the party got together and took Tacton with them, on a mission to escape and to eventually fix Tacton.
- Tacton was brought to The Keep of Adamant for safe keeping until Drajag returned to the Keep to work on him a little more. The rest of the group went to find someone who could help Drajag. They found a wizard called Alban Farrow who specializes in enchanting and crafting golems. He would be a perfect candidate to mend Tacton, if he could be trusted with such a task...
- The party invited Alban over to their Keep where he and Drajag could work together on Tacton. He had brought some supplies and started enthousiastically working on Tacton. He had never seen such a specimen like him and after an examination, seemed skilled and knowledgable enough to make it happen.
- Before departing to Illumé Aerith had read up on the first creator of Warforged: Fenwickle Shimmerforge. She learned that Tacton is the first Warforged ever created and that is he is unique. Unlike other Warforged that have been created ever since, Tacton come the closest at being what they would call 'alive'.
